By IRNA,

Geneva : Arabian Parliament Speaker and Kuwaiti MP Muhammad Jasem al-Saqar here Monday after holding a round of talks with Iran’s Majlis Speaker, Ali Larijani, considered it of great importance and a prelude to more important Iran-Arab world negotiations.

According to Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, al-Saqar said about his meeting with Larijani on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference in Geneva in a meeting with the press, “Negotiations between Iran and the Arab world began two years ago, but due to many factors, including the regional developments, the process of those talks was halted in the summer of 2006.”

The Arabian Parliament Speaker meanwhile reiterated, “I will soon visit Tehran upon an invitation made by the Iranian Majlis Speaker brother Larijani to pave the path for resuming the Iranian-Arab world talks.”

He added, “Those talks would not only be aimed at securing the two sides’ interests, but would be to the benefit of the entire international community.”
