New Delhi : Ecuador Minister of Foreign Affairs Trade and Integration Maria Isabel Salvador will visit India next Monday to continue strengthening bilateral ties.
The FM will be received by her counterpart Pranab Mukherjee to examine the state of economic, political and cultural relations, said Friday in Quito ambassador Carlos Abad to Prensa Latina.
Both ministers will also examine the international situation at present particularly the effects of financial crisis and problems Doha Round talks.
El Salvador will also tackle the energetic issue especially working relations between PETROECUADOR and ONGC India Corporation.
During the visit, India and Ecuador will sign a 2009-2010 Cultural program and an agricultural Cooperation Agreement that envisages joint research and exchange of information technicians.
Ecuador was the first Latin American country to sign a military contract with India aimed at buying 8 Dhruv light helicopters of advanced technology.
Fifteen Ecuadorian pilots are being trained in Bangalore at present.
