Kabul : A total of 555 US soldiers have died since October 2001’s invasion of Afghanistan , confirmed Pentagon sources.
Washington has kept over 33,000 soldiers distributed in the UN International Assistance Forces, under NATO command and independent, and will now send thousands more.
According to statistics the last of those deceased occurred yesterday when an automobile exploded while the Pentagon convoy was passing near the fruit and vegetables market in Bati Kot district, Nangarhar southern province.
With that mortal casualty 555 US soldiers have died since their deployment to that territory, 403 of them in actions with Afghan rebels.
Other 66 died backing the aggression to the Afghan people including four agents from the Central Intelligence Agency, reported the Defense Secretariat.
