New Delhi : The Congress Wednesday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for defending Sadhvi Pragnya Thakur, the Malegaon blast accused, and said its leader L.K. Advani’s inner voice was selective when speaking about terrorism.
“His (Advani) conscience was selective. He woke up for the Malegaon blast accused but his inner voice did never raise against innocent people being tortured after Hyderabad blasts,” Minister for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal told reporters here.
Sibal said the statement of Advani that “ATS arrested Pragnya Thakur because they did not get any one” was highly irresponsible.
Sibal said the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was going to any extent for electoral gains and blamed it for having an internal alliance with the BJP with a motive to playing a spoiler for the Congress in assembly elections in six states.
