Madrid : The violation of human rights in Western Sahara by Moroccan soldiers appears in the first point of discussion of an international conference, in session Saturday in the Spanish city of Malaga.
The Saharan population is continuously privated of most of their basic civil warranties, such as expression, meeting, association, freedom of movement and physical integrity, said in the meeting Bucharaya Beyun, a delegate of the POLISARIO Saharan Front for Spain.
Beyun, a member of an organization fighting for the self-determination of the Saharan people, said that these violations are possible because of the silence of the international community.
The forum of Malaga was organized motivated by the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and fostered by Spain.
Beyun highlighted the need that the public opinion knows the repression of Morocco against the Saharan people, and said his people will not stop fighting until the end of the occupation.
The points of discussion in the agenda deal with the current status of human rights in Western Sahara and the judicial observation on the situation.
Representatives of organizations dedicated to human rights, public and private institutions and persons with a recognized prestige on the topic, are participating in the event.
