Chennai : The Hinduja group’s automotive foundry company Hinduja Foundries has shut down production till the first week of next month owing to reduced offtake from customers.
The company makes components for commercial vehicles, manufactured mainly by group-owned Ashok Leyland, and tractors.
According to Hinduja Foundries security personnel, the company has declared a holiday till Jan 6 and officials are not attending office.
The company said the measure has been resorted to for avoiding inventory build-up.
