London : British tennis player Andy Murray has signed a deal with management company 19 Entertainment, whose client list includes soccer star David Beckham.
The world number four and his brother Jamie have also enlisted CAA Sports to represent them in the US.
“This is a fantastic opportunity. We now have an unbeatable combination of representatives with world-class stature and experience,” Murray was quoted as saying in BBC Sports.
The company is owned by Spice Girls manager and Pop Idol creator Simon Fuller.
“I am very excited to be working with Andy and Jamie, two of the brightest British talents in global sports,” said Fuller.
“19’s innovative partnership with CAA Sports will provide them with an unparalleled level of global support.”
CAA’s sports division already represents world number three Novak Djokovic, as well as footballers Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Murray’s deal begins March 1, when they will leave current management company Ace Group.
The 21-year-old won five titles in 2008, reached his first Grand Slam final at the US Open and posted wins over the world’s top three players.
