Washington : Following his inauguration Tuesday, President Barack Obama walked into the Capitol and signed his Cabinet nominations and signed a proclamation of national renewal and reconciliation.
“I’m a lefty. Get used to it,” Obama quipped as he signed his name. “I was told not to swipe the pen,” he said after signing the document.
The last three presidents have signed similar proclamations in this same time and venue.
The nominations are to be presented to the Senate for confirmation by the full Senate.
