New Delhi: India’s prominent socio-religious organization Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) seems to have made up its mind to jump into the political arena as it is going to launch its political front this week in Delhi.
The Central Advisory Council of JIH will meet in New Delhi on January 24 to discuss all details about the political front including its name and structure. Sources in JIH told TwoCircles.net today that the three-day meeting of the Council beginning on January 24 is being held to exclusively discuss the political front issue.
Sources say that JIH is not going to field its candidate in the coming Lok Sabha election but the issue of supporting a secular party or a third front will also be discuss in the meeting.
This will be the first time in the post-Independence 60-year-old history of JIH that it will be forming a political party to contest elections. In the beginning the organization did not allow its members to cast vote.
