New Delhi : Two days ahead of the poll results, the Congress party Thursday was upbeat about emerging the single largest party and dismissed exit polls carried out by media organisations.
Party spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said the Congress would prove the exit polls wrong by winning many more seats than predicted. Exit polls have said the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance will be ahead, but only just.
“We will prove you (media organizations) wrong by winning much more seats than anticipated by the exit polls. We are not entering into any speculative numbers, but are confident of forming a stable government,” Singhvi added.
