Chennai : The Election Commission Thursday said that by-elections for five Tamil Nadu assembly constituencies that are vacant would be held Aug 18.
According to the Election Commission by-elections for the five constituencies – Kambam, Illayankudi, Bargur, Sri Vaikundam and Thodamuthur – will be held Aug 18 and counting of votes on Aug 21.
Nomination filing will start from July 22 and the window will close July 29. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is Aug 1.
