Chandigarh : The administration here is expecting many leading personalities from the corporate sector in its two-day Information Technology (IT) conclave, ‘e-Revolution 2009’, that will be held here Sep 3 and 4.
“The main aim of this event is to promote Chandigarh and its neighbouring states as a most sought after IT industry. We will focus on how to make growth inclusive in this region and on the role of IT in driving this,” said the official spokesperson of Chandigarh here Tuesday.
e-Revolution 2009 is an IT conclave jointly hosted by governments of Haryana and Punjab and Chandigarh administration in association with National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).
“Many leading names of the industry like Sunil Munjal, managing director of Hero Cycles, Rakesh Bharti Mittal, vice chairman of Bharti Airtel, Som Mittal, president of Nasscom, and Pramod Bhasin, Chairman of Nasscom will participate in this event,” the spokesperson said.
The theme of this conclave is Transforming region: harnessing technology for inclusive growth and entrepreneurship unleashed.
“In these two days, industry experts will deliberate upon a wide range of issues including emerging macroeconomics and latest business and technology trends which are likely to alter the landscape of global business and our society,” stated the spokesperson.
