New Delhi: The national capital Tuesday experienced winter chill with both minimum and maximum temperatures dropping below normal. The weatherman has predicted mist Wednesday morning.
Delhi reported a minimum of 8.3 degrees Celsius, a degree below the normal, while the maximum settled at 22.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.
According to the weather office, the temperature is likely to fall further in the coming days following western disturbances over Jammu and Kashmir.
“There will be mist or shallow fog Wednesday morning with a possibility of sky getting cloudy towards the evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle at 23 degrees Celsius and 7 degrees Celsius, respectively,” an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
December so far has been warm with the minimum and maximum temperatures settling above average.
The coldest day of the season so far was Nov 28 when the minimum temperature dropped to 7.9 degrees Celsius.
