New Delhi : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today placed wreath at the Samadhi of Father of the Nation of India Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
Sheikh Hasina, accompanied by members of her entourage reached the Rajghat from the Rashtrapati Bhaban.
She stood in solemn silence for sometime after placing the wreath at the Samadhi.
After the ceremony, the Prime Minister signed the visitor’s book there. “I on behalf of the people of my country paying tribute. It is our desire that peace is established across the world,” the Prime Minister wrote in the visitor’s book.
Members of Prime Minister’s entourage, Sheikh Rehana, younger daughter of Father of the Nation, Prime Minister’s son Sajeed Wajed Joy, Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Advisers to the Prime Minister Dr Gowher Rizvi, HT Imam and Dr Mashiur Rahman were, among others, present.
