10-day workshop for professional development of madrasa teachers

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) of Hyderabad is organizing a 10-day workshop for professional development of madrasa teachers from January 10-21 in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra. More than 50 Urdu teachers from madrasas in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Kashmir are participating in the workshop.

Addressing the inaugural function of workshop, being organized by the Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers of MANUU at Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom in Nandurbar, Professor Mazharuddin, Director of the Centre, said: “The community which does not have organized inclusive education system, cannot progress. Therefore, we should pay attention on motivating our education system.”

The patron of Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom, Maulana Abdullah urged the teachers to get expertise in all academic disciplines that could be used for welfare of humanity. “Education provides guides and training to human being. So, we should not miss the chance to get education,” he added.

On the occasion, Professor Mahmood Siddiqi of College of Education Urdu University, Bhopal, gave details to the audiences about the activities of Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers.

The University Grants Commission has authorized MANUU to manage the Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers which aims at motivating Urdu medium teachers for their professional development. For this purpose, the Centre has been running many courses and organizing workshops at different places.
