Berlin : A prominent British-based dissident Jewish rabbi here Monday called for “the peaceful dismantling of the Zionist state.”
“We are calling for a peaceful dismantlement of the Zionist state and it can be done with the help of the world,” said Rabbi Jacob Weisz in an interview with IRNA in Berlin.
He stressed that dismantling the Zionist regime would in fact promote “peace and humanity.”
“To criticize, to condemn and to bring down Zionism is nothing anti-Jewish.
On the contrary, it is for peace and humanity,” Weisz said.
“It is religiously speaking the right thing to do. Zionism is not part of Judaism, quite the opposite,” the anti-Zionist rabbi added.
Weisz urged people “to feel free and open to criticize” the state of Israel for its crimes.
He pointed out Zionism had finally become a “bankrupt” ideology.
The rabbi urged the international community to halt the Israeli aggression.
“The impunity of Israel has to stop. It cannot carry on with this impunity. They are not above the law. That’s our message,” Weisz said.
He warned also against German arms export to Israel, saying it was “really unacceptable.”
“Please stop giving arms to Israel as it is an illegitimate and aggressive state …,” Weisz said.
He accused the Zionist regime of violating international and humanitarian laws as well as the Geneva Convention.
Weisz cautioned that European and US support for the Zionist state would only cause “more harm and bloodshed.”
