Chennai: Union and state ministers, MPs, legislators and government officials wished Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on his birthday Monday as he turned 57.
Stalin visited his father, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s residence here in the morning to seek his blessings.
Returning home, Stalin was wished by his elder brother and union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers M.K. Alagiri, sister and Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi and his relative, union Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran.
State Congress leader K.V. Thankabalu, Congress Legislative Party Leader D. Sudarsanam, J.M. Haroon, many MP, MLAs and party cadres came to Stalin’s residence to offer their wishes.
The birthday celebrations were a low key affair as Stalin had asked his party cadres to avoid a pompous celebration of his birthday.
