Berlin : Germany’s migrant community does not trust the country’s media because of its pro-Israel bias, the German press agency dpa quoted an expert saying Wednesday.
‘Young people, especially those with an Arabic background, don’t
consider German media to be objective,’ said political scientist Jochen Mueller at a three-day conference in the northern German town of Rehburg-Loccum.
‘Al Jazeera and the Lebanese Hezbollah broadcaster are trusted
more than German broadcasters,’ he added.
Although the Middle East conflict has further spurred anti-Israeli sentiments within the German public, nearly all German media outlets have a pro-Israel bias, according to Israel critics.
Germany’s powerful Axel Springer Publishing House has been the focus of repeated criticism for its blind support of the Zionist regime.
Axel Springer media outlets which includes the top-selling mass tabloid Bild, have openly backed Israel’s murderous and racist policies in the occupied territories in addition to the Zionist regime’s military aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.
Axel Springer newspapers are also employing Israel lobbyists on their editorial staff who are essentially toeing the line of the Israeli embassy.
German critics of pro-Israel media reports argue it has been basically become impossible to report anything critical about the Zionist regime because it is immediately branded anti-Semitic.
