New Delhi : The Delhi High Court Monday asked Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi to file a reply by Oct 29 to a petition filed by his daughter stating that she and her husband face “immediate danger” from the actor and his family.
Chiranjeevi’s younger daughter Sirija married Sirish Bharadwaj, an engineering student, without her parents’ approval on Oct 17.
Justic S.N. Dhingra Monday asked the Delhi Police to provide protection to the couple.
In her petition, Sirija said that there was “immediate danger” to her and Sirish’s lives.
The petition also stated that the couple was approaching the Delhi High Court because “there is no hope of getting justice in Andhra Pradesh”.
Appearing for Sirija’s uncle, advocate Manmohan Singh assured the court that there would be no threat members to their lives from Chiranjeevi and his family.
