Bhopal: Coming close on the heels of news that Gulf-based Hindu is building a Mosque in Kerala, comes the news of a temple being rebuilt in Rajasthan by a Mumbai-based Muslim industrialist. The Ganeshdham Mandir has been reconstructed by Mr. Ashiq Ali Nathani. The temple is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 27, and will be thrown open to the public the next day, January 28.

Ganeshdham Mandir, is close to the fortress of Ranthambore, a Tiger Reserve, which in turn, is near to Sawai Madhopur. According to Mr. Ashiq Ali, once traveling from Jaipur to Mumbai, one of the directors of his company suggested him to visit the Mandir. When he visited the temple, it was in utter ruins. Then and there he decided to get the Mandir and the ashram of Maharaj Prabhudasji of the temple, reconstructed all over again.
The Mandir and the Ashram are ready to be dedicated to the devotees. Mr. Ashiqali told this correspondent, that the Mandir will be inaugurated by Aziz Qureshi, a former minister in MP government and a senior Congress leader of the state, on January 27.
The building of Ganeshdham Mandir
It may be pointed out here that Cheril Krishna Menon, a Qatar-based Hindu businessman is constructing a mosque in Kerala with the aim of promoting communal harmony. He claims that it will be the first mosque to be built in the state by a Hindu in over 1,200 years. Muslim scholars and religious leaders reportedly gave Menon, who is the chairman and managing director of the Doha-headquartered Behzad Group of Companies, the approval to build the mosque.
