Amritsar : Pakistan’s Interior Secretary Chaudhry Qamar Zaman arrived in India Sunday for a two-day meeting with his Indian counterpart G.K. Pillai, saying he is bringing the “message of friendship and friendliness” from his country.
“My priority will be to take this message of friendship and friendliness from Pakistan to my colleagues in India, with whom I will get the opportunity after a break of couple of years,” Zaman said after crossing into India at the land border in Punjab.
He said the two sides would “exchanges views on a number of issues that are required in promoting relations between our two countries”.
The Pakistani official said the relaxation of visa rules would be on the agenda. “We will talk … how to make travel easier for the common man.”
Zaman and Pillai will hold talks in New Delhi Monday and Tuesday.
