New Delhi : Over 5,000 people participated in a candle light march Thursday evening here in support of fasting veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare and his fight against corruption.
The supporters, from children to the elderly, walked from India Gate to Jantar Mantar, where Anna Hazare is observing his indefinite fast.
“We don’t want any corrupt people in India,” said Sheela Agarwal, 75, who came from Karol Bagh to take part in the rally.
Perched on her father’s shoulders, four-year-old Shalini watched the rally with amazement in her eyes.
“We are all with Anna,” Rajeev, a Delhi University student, said.
