New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind urged the judiciary and law enforcement agencies to take stern action against Modi. Acting Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Syed Ghulam Akber said the revelations made by the Tehelka sting operation has put the humanity to utter shame and exposed the killers of humanity threadbare.
In a statement released on October 28, he added that no condemnation of these inhuman, heinous crimes can suffice.
Drawing the attention of the judiciary and law enforcing machinery of the government, he said, “The immediate demand of the Tehelka operation is that effective actions are taken against chief minister Narendra Modi who had given three-day time to the criminals to continue massacre of Muslims, Home Minister Gordhan Zadaphia, Police Commissioner, government counsels and other officers, and they are brought to justice.”
The Jamaat leader also demanded from the Union Government to declare a package for the heirs of those killed in the Gujarat riots 2002, those who were injured, rendered homeless or those who suffered the loss of their properties so that justice may be done to the riot-affected people.
