Tripoli : At least two local journalists were killed Thursday in a NATO raid that targeted Libyan capital Tripoli, an official said.
“The journalists were taking photos of the place when missiles landed near them leading to their death,” Xinhua quoted General People’s Committee spokesman Moussa Ibrahim as saying in a statement carried by the Libyan state news agency.
Explosions were also heard in Bab Al-Aziziyah area, near the residence of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, said Ibrahim.
Earlier Libyan state TV broadcast a video showing Gaddafi meeting tribal leaders, in an attempt to refute rumours about Gaddafi’s death in NATO raids.
