New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday demanded the resignation of Home Minister P. Chidambaram, saying he played a role as finance minister in fixing the price of 2G spectrum.
Criticising the “self-certification and defence on the issue of 2G by Chidambaram”, BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said: “We continue to insist on our demand for the resignation of the home minister.
“In fixing a price for the allocation of 2G spectrum in 2007 at the price of 2001, clearly the then finance minister had a role. He needs to explain this sudden change in setting a price,” said Javadekar.
