Govt to restructure Minority Finance Corporation

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Minority Affairs has started work to reconstruct National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC). The ministry has appointed a consultancy to study the restructuring of NMDFC, Vincent H. Pala, Minister of State for Minority Affairs, informed the Rajya Sabha today.

He further said that the consultancy firm has submitted its final reports which are being examined. Giving this information in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Pala informed the House that a number of steps are being taken to propagate and popularize the schemes and programmes of NMDFC. Under this the schemes and programmes of NMDFC have been uploaded on the website of NMDFC and the printed pamphlets and scheme guidelines are distributed through its State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs). Besides, the State Channelizing Agencies also organize Awareness Camps for popularizing the schemes of NMDFC.
