Bramdagh Bugti, who heads the Baloch Republican Army, is seeking asylum in Switzerland, Dawn reported Sunday. He has been accused of attacks on the government and armed forces.

Bugti, 30, has been on the run since 2006. He initially took refuge in Afghanistan but later moved to Switzerland.

The evidence of his involvement in the “subversive activities” have been handed over to Swiss officials, the newspaper said quoting an unnamed official.

Pakistan does not have an extradition treaty with Switzerland.
