Raipur: Bharataiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari Saturday demanded Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should sack Home Minister P. Chidambaram, if he did not resign himself, over his alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum scam.
“Chidambaram should either resign himself from the cabinet or the prime minister should sack him,” the BJP chief told reporters here at Raipur airport on way to state’s Durg district to address a convention.
“Whatever the facts emerging in allocation of 2G spectrum scam case now clearly establish that it was not the lone decision of the then telecom minister A. Raja. It had consent of Chidambaram too who was the finance minister at the time the spectrum was allocated in 2008,” Gadkari added.
