New Delhi : The Congress Tuesday reconstituted its team of office bearers in Chhattisgarh, appointing seven vice-presidents, 11 general secretaries and naming party treasurer Motilal Vora and former chief minister Ajit Jogi as permanent invitees to the state executive.
The list, approved by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, includes 22 members in state executive and 37 secretaries.
Nand Kumar Patel, who was appointed state Congress chief in April this year, will continue in the post.
Vora’s son Arun Vora has been appointed a general secretary of the state unit.
The newly-constituted state election committee includes several senior leaders including Mohsina Kidwai, V.C. Shukla, Charan Das Mahant apart from Vora, Jogi and Patel.
The committee also has Mohammed Akbar, Bodh Ram Kanwar and Dhanesh Patila as its members.
The state is scheduled to go for assembly polls in 2013.
