CBI now ‘Congress Bureau of Investigation’: Gadkari

By IANS,

Kolkata: Alleging that the Congress was constantly using the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to settle scores with political opponents, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wednesday said the federal investigative agency had turned into a “Congress Bureau of Investigation”.

“The Congress is constantly using the CBI against political opponents,” BJP president Nitin Gadkari said during an informal talk with mediapersons here.

When a journalist asked about the corruption allegations against BJP leader and ex- Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, Gadkari shot back: “Tell me what are the allegations against him”.

However, he added that he would not comment on the report of Lokayukta against Yeddyurappa. “The case is now subjudice. We have taken action against him after the report form the Lok Ayukta. Everything will become clear once the High Court gives its verdict”.
