Tehran: Iran has called upon its neighbouring countries to disallow their airspace to be misused against it.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi Thursday gave a call to its neighbours not to allow their air space to be misused against the country, Xinhua quoted the official IRNA news agency as citing him.
Salehi also called the recent incursion of the US spay drone into its airspace “an act of hostility and encroachment”.
Iran has asked the Afghan government to investigate into the issue and will not allow such things happen again, the minister stated.
Earlier this month, Iranian media reported that a US reconnaissance drone was shot down by the Islamic republic’s military in eastern Iran after it transgressed Iranian borders.
Iran’s state TV last week showed the footage of the stealth drone.
