New Delhi : Ending days of stalemate with the Trinamool Congress leadership, Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi Sunday agreed to quit after speaking with party chief Mamata Banerjee and would hand in his resignation letter to the prime minister, a source close to the minister said.
A source close to Trivedi told IANS he may forward his resignation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh “soon”.
This follows a talk with Trinamool supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee earlier Sunday.
“Trivedi called me up. He has told me that he will resign. And he will stay with the party,” Banerjee told mediapersons in Kolkata.
