Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh’s ruling Samajwadi Party found itself red faced Thursday as the son of a district office bearer stabbed a fellow student and critically injured him.
The wounded student has been admitted to the trauma centre in critical condition.
According to police, the incident took place in Sarojini Nagar when Rahul, son of the politician, stabbed fellow student Monu, alleging he was teasing his sister.
After a minor altercation, Rahul lost his temper and knifed Monu several times.
Police officer Shiv Kumar told IANS that the injured boy was in critical condition. He said no arrest had been made as no formal complaint had been lodged.
