Kolkata : Stating that life was full of challenges, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Thursday urged the student community to develop mental strength to fight frustration.
“Life is full of challenges but I never thought I cannot…I always believe I can. Why should you get frustrated? One should never lose his mental strength. Swami Vivekananda used to say strength is the medicine for all diseases. I urge you all not to get frustrated but develop strength to fight,” said Banerjee.
She was speaking at a ceremony to felicitate rank holders in the Secondary and Higher Secondary Examinations conducted by the West Bengal Board.
The chief minister also asked the students to respect their parents and teachers.
“At home it’s the parents and in school it’s the teachers. I always felt secure under the guidance of my parents and teachers. They are pillars of strength. You should always respect them,” said Banerjee.
She asked the students to work hard and contribute towards the growth and development of the society and the country.
