Tel Aviv : Israeli air attacks in the southern Gaza Strip overnight killed at least three militants, the Israeli military and Palestinian reports said early Thursday morning.
A military spokeswoman in Tel Aviv said the first air strike was against an area from where rockets and mortars have been launched at Israel, and the second strike was against militants who were trying to place a bomb next to the border fence, to be detonated when an Israeli patrol entered the area.
The spokeswoman could not confirm Palestinian casualties, but reports from the scene quoted on Israel Radio spoke of at least three fatalities.
