Sana’a : The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) is expanding its food aid operations to needy people in three Yemeni governorates — Al Mahwit, Hajjah, and Sana’a.
It will be done along with other distribution centres in Aden, including the seaport city of Yemen, as part of relief campaign.
The number of food packages distributed by RCA aid workers in Yemen since the beginning of the campaign, launched two weeks ago, had reached over 15,000, benefiting more than 75,000 people, said Khalfan Saif Al-Kindi, director of RCA’s office in Sana’a.
Ramadan food baskets would be given out to poor families within a couple of days, he added.
