Lucknow: The ongoing tussle between Syed Waseem Rizvi who is the officiating chairman of Shia Waqf Board and eminent Shia Cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad reached a new level.
Waseem Rizvi in his clever move allotted plots to poor Shia widows in Sajjadia Waqf land which is presently under the mutawalliship of Maulana Kalbe Jawwad. The plot measuring 400 square feet will be given to each 247 applicants. They need to pay only Rs 10 as rent per month. Waseem also allotted 66 similar plots to other Shias in Waqf Azimullah Khan.
Later in an order Waseem Rizvi directed Jawwad who is the mutawalli to give possession to the allottees and collect rent. The move has taken the Jawwad camp as a surprise. Earlier Waseem had levelled allegations that Jawwad charged heavy money for giving grave land. On his part Jawwad started agitation against Waseem Rizvi and he was forced to resign but continues as officiating chairman. Later a CB-CID enquiry has also been ordered in the waqf episode.
Meanwhile Jawwad group has announced that they will not hand over possession to the allottees. As per them money has been taken as bribe by these poor allottees and unless Waseem is exposed, they will not allow any one possession.
So, Lucknow is all set for another showdown among Shia leaders.
