Beijing : A 6.2-magnitude quake struck China Sunday, authorities said.
The tremor jolted the Xinjiang Uygur region around 6.00 p.m., Xinhua quoted the China Earthquake Networks Centre as saying. The epicentre was located in Keriya county.
The quake was followed by two aftershocks measuring 4.8 and 3.0 on the Richter scale.
