New Delhi: Muslim Students Organization of India (MSO), a student organization of Barelvi youths demanded that illegal arms in Bodo areas of Assam be recovered and perpetrators of violence be punished.

A delegation of MSO led by its National President Syed Muhammad Quadri met Digvijay Singh, General Secretary of Congress and put forth their demands:
1. The state govt must recover illegal weapons from the BTC areas and actual perpetrators of crime must be punished.
2. Govt. must ensure proper rehabilitation of refugees at the earliest at their actual place of residence.
3. The refugees are living in pathetic condition, Govt. must work for their safety security and improve living conditions in their refugee camps.
Shahnawaz Warsi Advocate ,General secretary of MSO, Syed Wajih Rizwi, Allama Mueed Azhari, Mualana Anees Qadri were also part of the delegation.
Earlier a high level delegation of Muslim Students Organization of India (MSO), Muslim Organization of India (MOI) and activists of Bharat Bachao Andolan visited the refugee’s camps of Distt. Bilaspada of Assam on 31st Aug 2012 to know the ground realities and conditions of refugees.

Later the delegation also met Chief Minsiter of Assam Tarun Gogai and put forward some demands relating to rehabilitation of refugees and providing them Justice.
The delegation comprised Dr. Abdul Hakeem Azhari , President of MOI, Shujaat Ali Quadri National Secretary of MSO,Salik Latifi MSO Assam State President and R.P. Hussain and Suhairuddin Noorani of MSO.
C.M Tarun Gogai ensured the delegation about the proper rehabilitation and security. The CM said that Govt has ordered recovering of illegal weapons from the Bodos. Delegation also wished to open schools in the affected areas for which CM ensured Govt. help and coordination. The Assam Relief Fund was formed by both the organization to collect funds for helping the refugees in their rehabilitation.
