New Delhi : Amanpreet Singh won the silver in air pistol junior category and then helped the Indian team win the team silver on the opening day of the Asian Shooting Championship in Kuwait, Wednesday.
According to the information reaching here, Singh shot a total of 670.5 points but Jiajie Mi of China won the gold medal with a score of 681.8. The bronze went to another Chinese Shenghua Jhao with 668.9.
In the team event, Indian shooting team comprising Amanpreet Singh (575), Zakir Khan (561) and Harit Babbr (555) had a total of 1691 out of a possible 1800 to win the silver medal. The team gold medal was won by China with a score of 1707 and Bronze medal went to Thailand with 1683.
