Brussels : European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana has said that there is no change in the EU’s policy towards Iran.
“I have no special reaction to make. The position of the European Union is clear. It is not going to change,” Solana told reporters Wednesday in reply to a question on US intelligence reports that Iran had halted a nuclear weapons programme in 2003.
Solana’s spokesperson Cristina Gallach said the basic position that the EU has maintained is one of dialogue and at the same time pressure.
“According to us there is no need to change it,” she added.
