Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Friday laid the foundation stones for three power sub-stations in in the Bundelkhand region.
Two 33/11 kv electricity distribution sub-stations will be set up in Talbehta and Mehrauni and a 220/132 kv transmission substation will be built in Lalitpur.
The chief minister also inspected the fifth unit of the 250-MW Parichha thermal power station which began operations in July.
He directed the officials to ensure that the unit attained 80 percent plant load factor by October and 90 percent by November.
Reviewing the energy department’s work, Yadav emphasised on timely implementation of the 1,980-MW Lalitpur power station and said the irrigation department should ensure water requirement for the plant.
He said transmission network should also be developed simultaneously for optimal utilisation of power generated by the new plant.
To improve power supply infrastructure in Jhansi, the chief minister ordered immediate implementation of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
He issued directions to expedite tender process for execution of SCADA in identified cities and told the officials to install good quality transformers.
