New Delhi : A two-day conference organised by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and state anti-corruption agencies here discussed ways to tackle corruption in the country, a probe agency official said Thursday.
“The conference concluded Thursday. It had wide-ranging deliberations on issues relating to tackling corruption,” a CBI spokesperson said.
Addressing the conference, Minister of State for Personnel V. Narayanasamy said that technology was the most effective tool to tackle corruption.
He assured that efforts would be made to “deprive the wrong-doers from enjoying their ill-gotten wealth”.
CBI Director Amar Pratap Singh said the conference had detailed deliberations on preparedness to probe acts of corruption which come with economic development.
He asked the government to give due consideration to the pending CBI Act, saying it would help address the issue of jurisdictional gap.
