AMU Old Boys Association Hyderabad commemorated educational services of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan

Hyderabad: “Aligarh Muslim University is anexceptional institution, it an asset of the Muslim community, but it is unfortunate that today its minority character is under question, it is the responsibility and duty of not just former AMU students but of all Muslim community to protect and preserve the minority character of the university,” said Prof. Faizan Mustafa Vice-Chancellor of National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR).

He was speaking as the chief guest at the Sir Syed day function organized by Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys association Hyderabad chapter at Urdu Hall.

Prof. Faizan Mustafa who is also an alumnus of AMU studied law, and later became Dean, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University and then Registrar of AMU, said that AMU has played an important role in emancipating education among the Muslims of Sub continent, “where ever youfind Muslims well educated in the sub-continent, AMU has played an important role there in making that happen.”

President of AMU Old Boys Association (Hyderabad) and former Minister, Asif Pasha, in his presidential address, stressed on alumni of AMU to strengthen the education mission started by Sir Syed.

Huge gathering participated in the function to commemorate the services of Sir Syed.
