Waliullah Quadri appointed AISF Andhra Pradesh state president

Hyderabad: Waliullah Quadri, a Ph.D. student of Kaktiya University, Warangal is being appointed Andhra Pradesh state president of All India Student Federation (AISF) in its 45th annual convention at Anantapur district. AISF is the student wing of Communist Party of India.

Waliullaha, resident of Warangal district has become second Muslim in the state to hold the top post of AISF. Syed Aziz Pasha was the first Muslim president of state AISF, who later became Member of Parliament.

Quadri is pursuing his Ph.D. in commerce and banking, He is associated with AISF for last10 years. He had been Warangal city vice-president of AISF, in 2008 he has been appointed treasure of state unit and then in 2010 he was made a member of AISF National council.

Waliullah Quadri is currently booked in 110 cases related to Telangana statehood agitation and also spent some time in jail due to those cases. Quadri said he was inspired to join student politics when he read the essay Mazdoorouka Massihah (leader of the workers) based on the life of Maqdoom Mohinuddin, one of the founders of the Communist movement in India.
