UP appoints consultant for expressway project

Lucknow : The ambitious 270-km-long six-lane Agra-Lucknow greenfield expressway project gathered speed with the Uttar Pradesh government appointing a consultant Thursday, an official said.

Once completed, the expressway would cut short the travel time between Lucknow and Agra from 6 hours to three and a half hours.

M/s Feedback Infrastructure Services Pvt. Ltd. in consortium with M/s Redecon (India) Pvt. Ltd. was appointed as the project development consultant for the expressway.

The consultant will work towards enabling the prospective bidders to assess the project requirements. Facilitation in obtaining clearances will be undertaken by it.

Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) Anil Kumar Gupta said: “The expressway is an ambitious project that will propel development all along its route apart from saving travel time and cost.”
