New Delhi : A 30-member delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is in Hyderabad to take part in the 14th congress of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics.
The four-day conference ending Feb 7 is aimed at sharing the learning and understanding of latest global advancements in prosthetics and orthotic care to provide best rehabilitation options to persons with disabilities, an ICRC statement said.
This is the first time the world congress is being held in India.
Participants from ICRC include physical rehabilitation professionals and those supported by the ICRC from Afghanistan, Iraq, Myanmar, the Philippines, Sudan, Ethiopia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Togo, Pakistan and India.
There are more than 1,000 delegates present at the congress comprising orthotists, prosthetists, physiotherapist, orthopaedic surgeons and other rehabilitation professional from over 80 countries.
