New Delhi : Jamia Millia Islamia University will host an inter-college and inter-university football tournament in the memory of India’s famous coach S.A. Rahim from Feb 25 to March 14.
Rahim, who passed away in 1963, gave India some of its memorable performances during his 12-year tenure that ended in 1962. Under Rahim, India won the gold medal at the inaugural Asian Games in 1951 and the 1962 Asian Games and also finished fourth at the 1956 Melbourne Games.
The tournament will be participated by 24 teams from various colleges and universities across the country.
