Hyderabad: Welfare Party of India, Andhra Pradesh unit in its press statement welcomes the proposal of India’s first women bank as PSU as allotted in the General Budget presented in Parliament by Honourable Finance Minister P.Chidambaram.

WPI A.P. State secretary Moahmmed Rahmath stated, “We welcome the allocation of INR 1,000 Crore for Nirbhaya Fund, INR 17,700 Crore for ICDS and INR 65,867 Crore for HRD.”

However, WPI demand the government to properly execute and utilize the allocated funds for the development of the society.

On the other hand, WPI observed that INR 3,511 Crore allocated to the minorities is not in proportion and is less than what they expected from FM.

On the whole WPI stated that if People consider India’s huge fiscal deficit, the problem inflation, and other economic ups-down, then we can say this budget reflects the economic situation of India. But WPI also specified that people expect more from the FM on the agricultural sector, education sector, women & family welfare, minorities and youth (employment).
