Aligarh: Bushra Ansari of AMU Girls’ High School, Aligarh Muslim University has achieved, for the first time, the Dharampur Merit Award of rupees fifty thousand cash for securing more than 90% marks in the Class X Board Examination of AMU.
The award was given away by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brig. (Retd.) S. Ahmad Ali at the Annual Prize Distribution function of the AMU Girls’ High School.
The Dharampur Merit Award was instituted in 2009 to mark the centenary celebrations of the STS High School (Minto Circle) of the Aligarh Muslim University. The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs. 50000, is given to a meritorious student belonging to below poverty line (BPL) section of the minority community who secured 90% marks in Class X of the AMU Board Examination.
The Dharampur family has congratulated Bushra Ansari on the achievement and wished her all success in future.
